Well, it’s been a long time since an update has been on here! We have had about 5 weeks of some ‘normal’ life. It has been some down time and minimal days at the hospital. Titus was admitted to the hospital Saturday, August 9 to prepare for his transplant! He has 2 days of chemo and 3 days of radiation. We are in the same room he was in the last two hospital stays that he had. It is good, it feels familiar and it is one of the bigger rooms! Noah will join us on Friday, August 15 to retrieve his bone marrow, then the transplant process actually will happen in Titus's room. Noah will stay the night as he recovers but he should be good to go home Saturday. He will be a bit sore for a few days. Titus will have to stay in the hospital until late September while his body is trying to adjust and accept his new (Noah's) bone marrow. Then we will get to be discharged but will have to stay in Gainesville until late November. These next few months could be rocky, but we know Titus is tough and he can do this! And what a blessing to have a brother that is 100% a match, the same blood type and close to the same height and weight! We truly feel loved by all of you! We appreciate all of your texts and messages to check in and your continued prayers as Titus is going into battle! He's got this! We are excited to see what God has in store for his future!
